My Story

I’m Jona Becky, known online as TheBeckyJoe and to my students as Coach B. I’ve helped creators and businesses earn six to seven figures through strategy, storytelling, and brand partnerships, and I’ve been behind some of Africa’s most viral brand campaigns. I grew up in Iwaya, Yaba, where hard work shaped my path. At 15, I became a primary school teacher, learning how to simplify ideas, communicate with empathy, and guide people toward real results. A foundation that still shapes my work today.

The Turning Point

My journey changed in 2020 after losing everything during the pandemic no job, no device, no plan. With my dad’s cracked phone, I taught myself social media marketing and content creation through YouTube. Months later, I was managing brands and earning online. In 2021, I relocated, earned a B.B.A. in Digital Marketing from LISRI with top distinction, and gained KHDA, London CPD, and Google certifications. Today, I’ve built a community of 50,000+ people learning how to start, grow, and monetize their skills.

Founding
TBJ Media Group

In 2024, I launched TBJ Media Group, a creative marketing agency helping brands and creators turn visibility into profit. We’ve worked with 100+ brands across Nigeria, Dubai, and the UK, running influencer campaigns, product launches, and storytelling-driven strategies that generated over $100,000 in one year. My mission is to help more Africans transform their skills into income and build sustainable digital careers.
